Ninite only has a handful of programs and I can't choose from anything beyond their limited list (e.g. WinDirStat sucks ass I prefer TreeSize). winget I can basically reinstall nearly 95% of my programs with one silent command prompt line that I save in a text file and copy+paste over. ninite doesn't handle things like HWinfo64 Afterburner ...

Ninite pro is more trusted stable and MSP worthy in my opinion after using both for a good while. I am aware the choc framework is open sourceish and always intended to make a buck but also have community extend functionality. So it will always look different than a actual commercial product.

Sourceforge started losing traffic though and their pulled their adware thingy. So in the end you can't really trust it but currently the chances of Ninite betraying you is the same as any of the proprietary software you can download from Ninite.

Presumably Ninite Pro does the same thing except the software vendors receive a portion of the fee Ninite charges to use Ninite Pro (again presumably). Adobe asks Ninite to remove Adobe Flash from the free side so as to force people to go directly to Adobe.com to download Flash (where the added bloatware has a better chance of being installed).

I wish there was a way I can just 1 click all the above like ninite.com style. Imaging / Cloaning is not an option for several reasons I need not discuss here. Is there a way to do this that is simple? I saw some advanced installers where I have to program scripts. I don't know how to do that stuff.

Ninite automates installation of publicly available software packages that most likely contain .msi files. If you are paranoid download the .msi files yourself (you should be anyways) and then you have version change control.

Does Ninite distinguish between 32 and 64 bit OS versions and select appropriate builds? I had some trouble after Ninite installed a 32 bit JRE instead of 64 bit.
