I am unable to see any of the free to view movies & TV Shows or live TV since a couple of days back - are there any known issues with this or are there any settings i could adjust to see if i can fix this? Please help. Thanks

 

I have a general question of whether Plex has any limitations with the size of the library it can support and if there are any tweaks I need to make as it grows. I have library on a Synology NAS (RAID 5) that is about 95% full totaling 57.5TB. Plex is running in a Docker container and appears to be more efficient than the Synology app option. As mentioned in my first reply you can use the free version of Plex Media Server to stream your own content on your home network. If you are being asked to buy a Plex Pass or Remote Watch Pass to stream media on your home network then there is either a Plex or network configuration issue.

 

Do you have a server set up? Or are you trying to download the movies which are available for free in ?Movies & TV?? The latter cannot be downloaded.

 

No a Plex Pass subscription does not allow downloading content from our free Movies & Shows service for offline access. The content available on our free ad-supported service is not licensed to allow downloading or offline viewing sorry.

 

We bounce around with Handfree commands on Plex clients on this! 2026 is here and next month I am traveling to one of my elderly family members to set up Plex at his home. What is the best direction for Hands Free to play movies? I here alot of talk about the new Alexa on Firesticks. I don?t mind the other brands like Google ONN. But I will never go down the road with Apple devices.

The download feature is only for allowing local clients to download files from personal servers. Most of the features (all?) in the Plex pass unlock additional functionality for people who run their own Plex server and provide their own media.
