TL;DR: If you're using Ledger Live to update Nano S firmware and get stuck on the 'Bootloader' screen give the Chrome Ledger Manager plugin a shot at talking to the Nano S. It fixed whatever was making mine not respond to the Ledger Live app and I was able to complete the firmware update from 1.3.x to 1.5.5 (or whatever the latest is).

Ledger Live creates there own wallet for each transaction and then shows it in you balance..but it's there wallet. They reinvest it other places hence the vanishing of funds in your account..then just erase all activity in your account/wallet like it never occurred.

I went through the trouble shooting page on Ledger?s website with no luck. It has been a while since I updated last. Using Windows 11 with S mode off. Is it recommended to revert to a previous edition of Ledger Live? Update - it sounds like I let too much time pass before updating the firmware and the wallet is bricked.
