Connie was born in Fremont Nebraska to Doris (Hilgenkamp) and LaVerne Busch. She was raised on the family farm in Washington County where she learned early that hard work builds character and that sitting still is wildly overrated. She graduated from Logan View High School and continued her education at the Lincoln School of Commerce.

 

Dennis W. Baumert age 88 of Scribner passed into his Eternal Home on April 27 2026 - his 88th birthday. He was born on a farm near Dodge Nebraska the first child of Gertrude (Ulrich) and John Baumert. Growing up on the family farm he attended Dodge Public School graduating with the class of 1955.

The visitation will be Sunday April 19 2026 at the Hooper Funeral Chapel from 2pm to 4pm with a wake service at 4pm. The funeral will be Monday at 11am also at the funeral home in Hooper. Private burial will be held at a later date at St. Jane Frances Cemetery in Randolph Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to Catz Angels in Fremont.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday July 2 2025 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral will be 10am Thursday July 3 2025 also at the funeral home.

The funeral will be 10:30am Saturday May 30 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at church.
