Thanks for the update Craig! This will really help those that have/will upgrade and take away some of the confusion for example if they went from an OEM to Pro.

However I'm wondering if there is any way to invoke ShowKeyPlus to run and export keys via command line switches? I'm trying to inventory a small business with about 100 users most of which are field sales reps who rarely connect to the corporate network.

I used ShowKeyPlus to check for the key and it shows a different key from the sticker on the back of the laptop. i Upgraded the HP DV6 laptop with the same windows setup to windows 10 pro. and its not activated.

After that I checked the key using Showkeyplus and whilst I was prepared for key to be invalid it turned out to be a MAK key. So I went back to W10 to double check activation and clearly has a digital licence but showkeyplus shows it having a mak key. How is this possible - I thought volume licence keys do not get a digital licence?

ShowKeyPlus Find your Windows product key with ShowKeyPlus. Applies to Windows 7 8 and 10 If you purchased Windows from an authorized retailer the product key will only show as the Installed key. This applies to OEM System Builder keys as well.
