- apply for authorisation via my Agent Services Account. This would seem to be the ideal option - but I can't get past the first hurdle which is to enter my client's UTR and postcode. There is no option to tick that my client lives abroad and anything resembling a postcode in their Indian address is rejected as "invalid postcode" by HMRC.

 

This year I have gone to do this but I am having issues with submitting the online request it's failing to allow me to submit with my usual agent government gateway login details.

 

Client List Within Agent Services Account When I sign into my new Agent Services Account (ASA) in the VAT section I can click "view all clients" and see a list of my VAT clients (though only new clients that I've added recently through the new ASA I still can't see any of the clients carried across from my non-mtd agent login.)

 

I log in to my ASA account and it says I have "0 VAT and Self Assessment Clients" I choose "copy accross more.." and follow the instructions I have 15 I could copy across I carry on following the instructions and it says "This user ID is already linked to your agent services account" and I end up going around and around in circles.

 

Agent Services Account communication help I applied for VAT registration for a client a couple of days ago through the Agent Services Account (the newer style account). I've now had an email from HMRC telling me I have a message and to log on to the HMRC portal and access the communications area.

 

Agent Services Account How do you delete a client from your Agent Services Account? Historically I have submitted VAT returns for my client using his FreeAgent software. MTD for IT ? Individual vs Agent gateway I have a client who has their own self-assessment gateway. I also have an authority as an agent. I tried to connect Xero MTD to my agent gateway login (agent services account) and it asked for ID verification we entered passport and driving licence of the client and it failed to identify multiple times.

 

Ok so I have no clients signing up for MTD4IT at the moment. I just want to view their 'Income records' via my Agent Services Account.

 

Agent Services Account client list I see that HMRC have now removed the client list within manage user access/clients. With MTD at 6/4/26 I see that HMRC have now removed the client list within manage user access/clients. Has it moved elsewhere or is it now impossible to download a list of clients for MTD VAT Trusts CGT etc authorisations?
